Since the Daytona game was cancelled this coming Sunday, we thought we might squeeze in an extra Space Coast game, but on Saturday. And in Melbourne. So... this Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble in Melbourne on 192, in the cafe. Come if you can.
If you missed last meeting (and most of you DID!), you missed out on a good time. Seems Tim Trese is a convert. He happened by one of our meetings and came back to play. Doing quite well, too. Then, there's the shining example of young Eric Lavigne. Eric learned to play by playing against Igowin (about two weeks ago) and then he and his dad actually made a Go board! Scooped out 181 holes in a board and used white and black marbles. Really kewl! Found our club on the AGA listing and just dropped by. Then he proceeded to beat me in a handicap game! Way to go, Eric!
Big Mike Russell gave Dr. Dan a run for his money. And Bart Lipofsky, Attila Ondi, and the ephemeral Steve Schneider rounded out the happy, little group of Go afficionados.
All of you who receive this notice whose names do not appear here DID NOT attend last Saturday. I can't imagine what in the world could be more important than the click of stones on wood. You people really need to get your priorities in order. Really.
Come Saturday if you can. If you can't, then at least be sure to mark June 1 on your calendar. Mr. Yuji Sano is coming back from Japan a day early just to be at the meeting. If he can come ALL THE WAY FROM JAPAN, the least you can do is come from lousy Brevard County to be at that game.
