Well, last week the four of us -- Fred & Ginnie, Paul, and I -- were quite unable to consume the feast.Although the pheasant was magnificent, the caterers had prepared enough for 40 and we ended up giving most of the pate' to the cats out back And if you had any idea what it cost me to have Celine Dion leave her Las Vegas show to entertain while we were dining... I must admit, however, that her rendition of "Stairway to Heaven" was thrilling despite the fact that I believe one of the cellists was badly out
of tune. Ah well!
Sadly, in anticipation of a massive turnout for the 5th Saturday session, I spent the club's entertainment allocation and have none to finance the upcoming event this Saturday, April 5th at the same old place and at the same old time. So you'll just have to come for the sheer joy of playing Go and being entertained by my congenial personality.
