I have spared absolutely no expense for the half-time entertainment this week. Mr. Luciano Pavarotti will be singing two (yes, TWO) versions of "Stairway to Heaven."The first, accompanied by the Armenian National Electric Sousaphone Symphony, and the second time, a capella, in the original Italian!
Now, I tried desperately but could not convince Barnes & Noble to allow me to bring in the Ice Capades. Although I tried to convince them that even though the low temperatures might damage their books, it would be more than offset by the number of hot drinks they would be selling at the cafe'. However, I think the ultimate deal-killer was when I told them we'd have to cut a hole in the roof to drop the Zamboni in by helicopter.Ah well...
So, to make up for the loss of the skating spectacular, I have managed to book the world-famous Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey dancing platypus! This is an act you will see only once in a lifetime folks. Be sure to bring the kiddies and your old maiden aunt to this one.
Don't be late. The good seats will be going fast.
