I'm moving the club!
After the terrific response to the last meeting, I've decided to make the change.Dan and Jianxin both showed up.Doc Stephenson crawled out of the woodwork after missing a couple years' worth of meetings because he could now come to a game without killing half a day traveling.And even with only one Hungarian, missing the ever-reliable Fred & Ginnie, and Bart on the left coast, we still had a dozen people show!
The truth of the matter is that for the folks coming from out west (Orlando) or the frozen northlands (Daytona), we're only adding -- at most ten minutes to your drive.The additional southing is almost compensated by the reduced easting.
So, we are now officially meeting on the 1st and 3rd (and, sometimes, 5th) **SUNDAY** of each month at Books A Million, 4100 N. Wickham Road, in the Post Road Commons Shopping Center on the northwest corner of Post and Wickham Roads in Melbourne at 2:00 p.m.
Coming from the west or north, take I-95 to exit 191 (old 73) and go east on Wickham.Follow it as it curves south for about 6 miles. If you get to the corner of Post Road and see the King Center sign announcing upcoming shows, look over your right shoulder - you've passed it.From the vicinity of our old hangout, Barnes & Noble in central Brevard, take US 1 south to Post Road, hang a right to the intersection of Wickham.Nothing to it.
Also, for your convenience, there's Panera Bread and Firehouse Subs for anyone looking for an early, light dinner, plus a wealth of other dining opportunities along the way.Finally, it's just a heckuva lot more convenient for me and, after all, it's *MY* club!
