The Space Coast Go Association

Subject: I was very touched...

By the thoughtful gift that was presented to me upon my return to The Space Coast Go Assocation after my recent surgery: a lovely statue shaped in the form of a small bear taking a dump.Carved completely out of Roquefort cheese, too! I only wish I had been at the game two weeks ago when it was originally going to be given to me, since by the time I actually got it, it was pretty, well.... ripe, I guess would be the proper word.

I am told that the two elderly women who were overcome by the noxious fumes and were taken to the emergency room will be all right.I would like to express my appreciation to the Brevard County Toxic Removal Team for their prompt response.I'm sure their quick action prevented several more people from being afflicted by the cloud of green gas that quickly filled Books A Million after I opened the lead-lined box.Maybe I should have been more suspicious when Fred, Ginnie, Eric, Tomas, Paul, Jianxin, and Bart all pulled out gas masks and put them on. At any rate, thanks to all of you who contributed to this most... errrrr.... unusual gift.

Anyhow, once the air cleared, we had a fine time.

Thanks to the folks who came and hope to see the rest of you in a couple of weeks.

george
