I'm asking as a personal favor.Let me explain.
I used to have a laptop PC that I'd borrowedto connect to KGS to play Go (my version of the operating system on my Mac is no longer compatible with KGS).But I had to return the laptop and now I'm stuck with (shudder) the Yahoo Go Server.If any of you have ever played there you know what a bunch of idiots and crackpots you find.
So, the only place I can get a decent game of Go is at the club meeting.So, won't you help me out? Please come to our nice, friendly game on Sunday, Books-A-Million, 1 p.m. I surely would appreciate it.
On the other hand, if anyone out there happens to have a spare PC laptop you're willing to part with (cheap), let me know. It doesn't have to be fast or powerful, just needs to have an ethernet port so I can connect my cable modem.
