Those of you who weren't at the game today (Saturday) -- and, of course, as usual, that means most of you -- missed a fun time. After threatening a couple of times, Karen and Doug showed up to play.And our recently found go-playing friend, Carl Conti, who last played some 35 years ago, came to renew his skills.I think it's safe to say we all had a good time.Plus, young Mr. Derrick Turner showed up to tell us he was interested in joining us in the future.
Who knows, we may just turn into a real club again, with regular meetings and everything. I know I can count on Dr. Bart and (usually) Dr. Jeff in the future. And Dan the mad Romanian has told me he'd show up once in a while. And if we can still meet on Saturday, I'm hopeful we might even see the lovely young Donna Gamble.Then there's always the outside chance we might be able to get a Hungarian or two to come back. First thing you know -- voila! just like the olden days.
Anyway, thanks to Karen and Doug and Carl. And hope to see more of you in the times to come.
